I'm a 3L law student at Loyola University Chicago. My grades are quite good and I have over 10 years of work experience as a senior paralegal. I'm the managing editor of one of the journals at my school.
Despite this, I'm finding it extremely difficult to (1) get an interview and (2) find a job.
It is now officially over!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just got my OFFICIAL offer from the firm in Philadelphia!!!!!!! I have a start date of September 28th!!!!! my personal fucking hell is now OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know the post is way old but congratulations. I'm a 2L at Pepperdine and keeping my fingers crossed. Enjoyed the blogging and can completely understand. How about an update?
I'm a 3L law student at Loyola University Chicago School of Law. I have excellent grades, am the Managing Editor of a Journal, and my rank is Top 20%. I am not bound to the Chicago area and willing to practice law anywhere in the US (or abroad if possible). I'm applying all over the country and am very frustrated at not being able to even get an interview, much less find a first-year associate position for after I graduate in May 2009.
